The Poem of Nobody

Dear God…

Thank you…

Thank you for making me such a nobody,
for I am able to pick up little gravels along the way of life…

Thank you for making me such a nobody,
for I am able to fix up my eyes just there on the horizon…

Thank you for making me such a nobody,
for I can be a whisper in the deepest silence…

Thank you for making me such a nobody,
for I can be a dancing light of darkest despair…

Thank you for making me such a nobody,
for I can walk straight in the valleys and then swim free among the mountains…

Thank you for making me such a nobody,
for I can be a warm breeze under the giant oak tree…

Thank you for making me such a nobody,
for I am able to do taste the smallest honey of the universe…

Dear God…

Thank you…

Thank you for making me such a nobody,
for I’ll be able to use time for everybody…

Thank you for making me such a nobody,
for I won’t have to worry ’bout myself anymore…

Thank you for making me such a nobody,
For I am able to be whoever I want to be…

According to Your will…
